meal prep recipe
parmesan sausage pasta
servings: 5 servingsingredients:
1lbs ground mild italian sausage
3 cups spinach
1/2 red onion, sliced
8-ounces mushrooms, sliced
8-ounces pasta
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powderinstructions:
1. in a large pan sauté sausage over medium heat until fully cooked and broken up into small pieces
2. drain liquid from meat and add spinach and mix until wilted
3. transfer sausage and spinach to a large bowl
4. add red onion and mushrooms to pan and cook for 10-12 minutes stirring frequently
5. drain excess liquid and transfer red onions and mushrooms to bowl with sausage and spinach
6. cook pasta according to package directions
7. add cooked pasta to bowl along with parmesan and garlic powder
